Cruz de Alba is made with grapes from vines over 20 years old in the Pagos Valderio estate, at
the heart of Ribera del Duero’s ‘Golden Mile”. Made from Tinto Fino, Cabernet Sauvignon and
Merlot. The wine is aged for 15 months in new American and French oak casks, and then aged in
bottle for a further 10 months.
The 2006 vintage was awarded a "Great Gold Zarcillo". Amongst the renowned wine regions
only two others from Ribera del Duero and one from Rioja achieved this highest prize.

Cruz de Alba, is produced following the principles of biodynamics, which basically implies using
natural products and following a biodynamic calendar to pick grapes, prune the vineyard, blend,
age and bottle. Biodynamics forces a winery to pay very close attention to the vineyard.
